176/366 | Day 2

It was a gorgeous day. The temperature went up to about 80F. And it was bright and sunny all day. After breakfast and a quick swim, we (6 of us + the dog) took our canoes and explored the big lake. Most pretty shore lines and islands are private properties, unfortunately. We could not just dock anywhere. I have heard that owners would come running out and yell. Ha! It’s a very Libertarian state. We don’t want to get on the wrong side of them….

We mostly floated around on the lake, and drank beer. A long nap in the tent followed, then fish and lobster dinner prepared by friends. It was a perfect day on Squam.
