Summer hat shopping in Harvard Square. It was there that I learned about hat fitting tape. What an awesome thing. This would have solved a lot of my hat-fitting problems in the past. I’ve always had trouble with hat sizes. I guess I have a humongous and/or misshaped head. I also learned about the existence of hat stretchers. I can’t believe I’m discovering all those things at this age!
I have 4 of those in the closet. They let a person move heavy furniture on hardwood floors easily and without scratching the floor. I can’t remember how many times they came in handy when I first moved in here and was still trying to figure out the best layout for the rooms. I changed the configurations many times, and each time, I was able to do it without anybody’s help, thanks to those fuzzy things.
A man named Arthur lives in the building next to us. He lives there rent-free in exchange for doing work around the building. It is the deal between him and the developer who owns most of the units in that building. Apparently, when the developer bought the building back in the day, he inherited Arthur who had no way of paying for a higher rent.
A certain plush toy maker is making a Shiba Inu version of their toy. They are doing so using crowd funding. People pledge small amounts of money and get something in return when the toy is in production. The pledgers are mostly Shiba Inu owners, of course.
Since our dog is very fearful of noises and whatever objects he finds scary, we are always looking for parks that are green and isolated enough from the hustle and bustle of city. It’s a pain in the butt because even when we think we found the perfect one, sometimes he decides that it is not quiet enough and pulls away frantically back to the car.

We decided to purge this weekend, again. This time we removed a lot of things out of two large cabinets, and brought them down to the basement. The biggest space hogger were those unused frames. It’s really too bad that I never use those, considering how many photos I take…
Worked from home… It meant I got to go out for nice lunch with P. 🙂 This Ploughman’s Lunch was so perfect. It’s not too heavy but satisfying my cravings for salty things. It’s served at an Irish Pub just 5 minute walk from my place. They serve killer Brunch too. I can’t wait to go back there for another round.
I feel that I go to our neighborhood coffee shop too often. I think we should be making our own coffee most mornings and the trip to the cafe should be a treat. It has not been that way. It helps me feel happier about going to work when I have their coffee in the cup holder while driving.
Right on cue, it started pouring when the July 4th fireworks began drawing colorful circles on the dark sky. We had some obnoxiously loud teenagers around us up until then, but the rain washed them away along with all the other wussy people (to somewhere under the roof). We got to enjoy the fireworks with ample space and peace, while being drenched.
