We decided to purge this weekend, again. This time we removed a lot of things out of two large cabinets, and brought them down to the basement. The biggest space hogger were those unused frames. It’s really too bad that I never use those, considering how many photos I take…
I feel too old to go dancing on weekends. This means there are virtually no friends around me anymore who would say “let’s go dancing” and make it happen. And I’m definitely not the one to initiate (I was never one, even when I was younger).
Beautiful night. Dry and comfortable. We walked through Central Square to get to the dining destination. We smelled hookah tobacco everywhere. We got outdoor seats and had yummy middle eastern food. Summer passes very very fast in this city. We try to enjoy those beautiful nights as many times as we can.
We are heading out tomorrow for 2 nights of camping on Squam Lake in New Hampshire. I have gone to this lake for camping almost every year since 2006. Interestingly, this has been the only place I have ever camped in my life. In other words, I don’t know any other style of camping.
Greek churches have Greek Festivals every summer. Since P is half-Greek (his dad moved to the US in his 20s), and since we visited Greece 4 years ago, we try to go to those festivals and enjoy the food. If we really tried, we could probably go to a Greek Festival every other weekend, because different churches have their festivals on different weekends.
It’s one of those things that make up the summer experience for me in this city.
While walking the pup late at night, we passed this street lamp. This is bit of an isolated area. Cars go by but not pedestrians. This guy sat at the foot of the lamp post, reading a very thick book. Very very intriguing.
We are so trendy to be cold-brewing coffee at home.
We tend to walk the dog very very late night. It’s partly because of his fearfulness, and partly because of our schedules.
This is our city’s main library. It is just 5 blocks from my place. There is a large green area in front of it. I go there for the dog walking purpose. I have been inside the building only a few times, and I believe it’s the most beautiful from outside.
My stuff, including computers, was moved to the new office this afternoon. It was raining and I dreaded the move itself to the new department, so I was feeling blue. But the adorable young moving crew (Oh I sound old) was so pleasant and upbeat that by the time I unpacked and settled, I felt okay.
