Bleh (this is my porch)
I live on the first floor. I have a very nice large back porch… right next to this huge dumpster that is shared by two buildings. This is the view from the porch if I stand up. Sigh.
I really hate this dumpster, although we use it every day for our own trash.
Another hot day. We stopped by at the square to grab some take out food for lunch. It was too hot to leave the pup in the car unattended, so I stayed behind and regulated the temperature in the car by opening the doors, and turning the car on and off.
Before P left to walk over to the food place, I told him I had left my iPhone at home, and would be bored to death. He left his with me, so I could entertain myself. How did we wait before those smart phones came out??
We bought the device at the cafe across the street. We are making the cold-brew coffee for tomorrow. It’s supposed to be nice tomorrow, and after 8-hours in the fridge, the brew is going to taste awesome. I am excited!
We go to live music shows quite often, probably around 3 a month average. Big and small. When the shows are good, it’s when I feel that life is good.
A fellow Shiba owner decided a few months ago to organize a big Shiba Inu meetup. She has been the core force in planning and executing. P and I have helped her with what we are good at; making a Web site, and designing the logo, selling merchandises on Cafepress. Honestly, it has been a lot of fun.
The event weekend is only 2 days away now, and this big wall sign arrived today from the printing store. I am thrilled to see it looking very legitimate.
This weekend is going to be all Shiba Inu all the time!
From left, gift, made, gift, purchased. I like penguins.
People are leaving. A bunch of them.
Spring was always kind of depressing to me until a couple of years ago. I loved the warmth and the flowers and the fresh greens, but I’m a skier. The end of winter meant the end of snowy mountains.
Ira Glass was in Boston for the night, to do some Q&A session after the screening of the film he helped produce. “Sleep Walk With Me” was a good movie, but I have a feeling that most people were there to see Ira Glass, like I was.
Received an annual performance review this afternoon. I have been with the company for 6 years, and the past 4 reviews had been disappointing to say the least. The reasons varied every time, but the recession has been the main one for the recent years. My review feedback and rating have been really great, with a minimum raise (something everybody got).
I’m using this photo for this day although it was taken “last night”. We did stay up well after midnight, so it counts, right? Also, I don’t have any photo for the following day. Oops.
