A fellow Shiba owner decided a few months ago to organize a big Shiba Inu meetup. She has been the core force in planning and executing. P and I have helped her with what we are good at; making a Web site, and designing the logo, selling merchandises on Cafepress. Honestly, it has been a lot of fun.
The event weekend is only 2 days away now, and this big wall sign arrived today from the printing store. I am thrilled to see it looking very legitimate.
This weekend is going to be all Shiba Inu all the time!
From left, gift, made, gift, purchased. I like penguins.
It’s crazy, but at this age, I’m suffering from the spring allergy for the first time in my life. As soon as I wake up, my nose starts itching and running. It stays itchy all day long.
Four years ago, I attended The David Allen Company’s GTD (Getting Things Done) 2-day lecture, sponsored by my work. I enjoyed the lecture and the idea so very much. I cannot say I have fully implemented the methodology, but I try to apply parts of it to my daily tasks at work. And I feel equipped to deal if and when I feel overwhelmed by projects.
There is this amazing park in the town of Brookline.
People are leaving. A bunch of them.
Spring was always kind of depressing to me until a couple of years ago. I loved the warmth and the flowers and the fresh greens, but I’m a skier. The end of winter meant the end of snowy mountains.
I’ve avoided using, for this project, the photos in which my dog is the main subject, because he is discussed and photographed enough everywhere else. But I forgot to take the 366 photo for this day, so this photo will have to do…
Ira Glass was in Boston for the night, to do some Q&A session after the screening of the film he helped produce. “Sleep Walk With Me” was a good movie, but I have a feeling that most people were there to see Ira Glass, like I was.
Received an annual performance review this afternoon. I have been with the company for 6 years, and the past 4 reviews had been disappointing to say the least. The reasons varied every time, but the recession has been the main one for the recent years. My review feedback and rating have been really great, with a minimum raise (something everybody got).
Ticks are still heavily occupying our minds. We pulled out two that were attached quite firmly into K-dog’s skin yesterday morning. And one of the bites has since turned bright red. Even after we got home last night, both P and I found ticks on our clothes. We took showers right away, and in the shower, I found one walking on my knee. It has been very stressful.
I’m using this photo for this day although it was taken “last night”. We did stay up well after midnight, so it counts, right? Also, I don’t have any photo for the following day. Oops.
