We’ve totally become midnight dog walking club members. When you do this in the neighborhood, we bump into people walking their dogs that have various behavioral issues.
Tonight, we walked by the river, and our pup took us through this tunnel, then some paths in a wooded area. P said “is this where we get murdered?”.
Dinner at Bondir. Our waiter said “wow nice camera! do you know they came up with a new one just two days ago?”
I have been leaving work late these days. So tired.
Seagulls are everywhere in this town. We are never too far from the ocean, but sometimes, I think they fly inland to get food. I see them perched on a dumpster sometimes.
I’ve been pretty uninspired for the last week in terms of taking photos. It’s funny how clearly that shows on the photos.
Drove 1.5 hours toward south. A relatively warm day. This particular beach was really empty and beautiful. I had only been there once before, 10 years ago. It surprised me that I remembered where it was, but then, I do have a pretty good sense of direction.
I spaced out and walked away from the parking meter without paying. The parking maid was just a few cars down. As I was walking away, he yelled out “Excuse me! Excuse me!!”
“…. You need to pay for that meter…”
“oh! yikes. Thank you.”
“no problem”
Then he walked away.
I guess the ground hasn’t been used for anything other than dogs in a while…
Except for the speed of focusing, this little camera has been a real pleasure. It has produced some quality images that made me very happy over the weekend. So the value should be placed mostly on its capability, of course. However, I do really love the retro look, almost as much. It’s attracted a lot of comments and questions. When I’m trying to be discreet about taking photos, this actually may work against me.
The first one arrived with cracks. Or it cracked when we opened it. Either way, it was deficient. We asked for a replacement. It took them a month and half to send another one, and they never asked for the broken one back.
So now, we have two of those, but enough space for only one.
It’s been such a warm winter. I’m not going to lie. It’s quite nice. No scary commute in my car. No slippery side walks. No freezing my butt off to walk the dog. However, for the skier that I am, this is a real bummer.
We just booked a ski trip to Colorado. We realize this is truly a gamble. We may go all the way out there, and see half the mountain closed. There was a really good deal, possibly because of lack of snow, with which we decided to just take our chances.
It may be a bit of cheating, but technically this photo was taken today (29th).
There was a private-room Karaoke birthday bash last night. Karaoke is another thing I dislike generally, for two reasons. 1) I have to sit there and listen to songs that I don’t care for, sometimes sung very badly 2) people push you to sing when you’ve said you aren’t singing 100 times already. Well, last night, I had a really good time. Nobody said I had to sing. Bad singing did happen but somehow, we all laughed together and it was 100% enjoyable.
