If something bad ever happens to this apartment building in our absence, I hope, with all my heart, this sticker on the window will save my dog’s life.

Another unseasonably warm day. We brunch-ed with friends at a local Irish bar that we love, 5 minutes walking distance from our home. I had poached eggs. P had Irish Breakfast.

This DJ Booth is definitely my favorite.

This is the bar where Sgt James Crowley and Prof. Henry Louis Gates Jr met for beers after the wrongful arrest incident, to make nice.^[1]

This is also the bar where P and I met up for our first alone time over beers 4.5 years ago, to get to know each other. It was such a failed first date, so I don’t romanticize this place that way. But it’s a bar we both love nevertheless.

When our dog senses we are leaving without him, he often hovers around the front door and jumps out as soon as it opens. Thankfully, it’s only to the foyer and interior stairs that he can run out to. From the top of the first set of steps, he turns around to look at us. He ignores our plea to get back in the apartment.

He is the master of guilt trips. He makes me want to stay home all day long.

My workplace installed electric car chargers in the parking garage. They said more are coming as needed. Very cool! I don’t even have a EV and I’m excited.

Picked up a package from abroad at the post office. I ordered this thing so long ago that I didn’t remember what it was until I opened it.

I had a busy day at work, and came home to this. Oh and a tail-wagging Shiba Inu. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I had Groupon lunch and Groupon dinner. This is because we found out that some Groupons were expiring in a few days.

The pizza you see here is P’s special (Spinach, Garlic, Ricotta, Feta, Prosciutto). He orders this whichever pizza places he goes.

P went to get coffee and sandwiches. Came back with all that, plus this cookie for me.

Even on a very crappy day, I kiss him right there behind the ears and I’m filled with the warm fuzzies. The softness is just completely out of this world.
